Turnip, Mustard, and Collard Greens with Bacon recipe

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) package bacon, chopped
2 medium onions, sliced
¾ pound turnip greens, chopped
¾ pound collard greens, chopped
¾ pound mustard greens, chopped
2 (32 ounce) containers chicken broth
½ cup water, or as needed
1 ½ tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Saute bacon in a large stockpot over high heat for 5 minutes. Add onions and saute, stirring often, until transparent, about 5 minutes.

  2. Add turnip, collard, and mustard greens, then pour in chicken broth. Add water, if needed, to cover. Stir in sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat and simmer until greens are tender, about 3 hours.
