cooking spray
2 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
2 cups steel-cut oats
2 large eggs
2 ½ cups water
2 cups 2% milk
1 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Combine brown sugar, lemon juice, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, and salt in a bowl.

  2. Spray a 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray and spread out apples on the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with brown sugar mixture, then with oats.

  3. Whisk together eggs, water, milk, and cream. Pour over oats. Cover the slow cooker.

  4. Cook on Low until oats are soft, 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
