Ingredients

8 slices bacon, coarsely chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can B&M® Original Baked Beans
1 (15.5 ounce) can Joan of Arc® Dark Red Kidney Beans
1 (15 ounce) can Joan of Arc® Spicy Chili Beans
½ cup BBQ sauce
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 green onions, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cook bacon in large nonstick skillet until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towel. Remove all but 3 tablespoons bacon fat. Add onion and pepper and cook 5 minutes or until softened.

  2. Add beans, BBQ sauce, and half the bacon and bring to a boil.

  3. Transfer beans to 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 20 minutes or until bubbling.

  4. Remove foil and top with cheese and reserved bacon. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  5. Sprinkle with green onion.
