Ingredients

1 cup butter
¾ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup mini candy-coated chocolates
½ cup chopped walnuts
2 cups colored crispy rice cereal

Directions

  1. Cream together butter or margarine, sugar, and vanilla. Mix together flour and baking soda, add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate candy and nuts.

  2. Form dough into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll in puffed rice cereal, and place on lightly buttered cookie sheet. Flatten.

  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
