1 cup water
½ cup white sugar
4 (2 inch) sticks cinnamon
1 (750 milliliter) bottle Pinot Grigio wine
¼ cup apple juice
3 fluid ounces apple brandy
2 fluid ounces cranberry juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon schnapps
2 medium apples - peeled, cored and chopped
8 fluid ounces ginger ale, or to taste

Directions

  1. Heat water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, discard cinnamon sticks, and bring liquid to room temperature, about 30 minutes.

  2. Pour cooled liquid into a pitcher and add wine, apple juice, apple brandy, cranberry juice, and cinnamon schnapps. Add apples and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.

  3. Add ginger ale for slight carbonation just before serving.
