¼ cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
¼ cup milk
3 (11 ounce) cans white (shoepeg) corn, drained
1 (7 ounce) can chopped green chilies

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Melt cream cheese and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Mix well. Add flour and milk, stir well. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, 6 to 8 minutes.

  3. Remove saucepan from heat, add corn, green chiles, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Pour into a casserole dish.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly, 30 to 40 minutes.
